In early 19th century London, high society young ladies were presented to eligible bachelors at debutante balls known as the ton. Lady Alexandra Stafford should have been "a catch," but she was smart and not afraid to express her opinions in front of anyone. But when her childhood friend's father mysteriously dies, she finds herself uncovering secrets of espionage, treason, and murder and discovers love along the way.
